History: Gobindaganj Bahumukhi High School was known as Gobindaganj Minor High School when it was established in 1884.It is situated in the heart of Golapbag bandar by the western side of the Dhaka-Rangpur High way under the district of Gaibandha, Upozilla:Gobindagonj, Mauja:Buzruk Boalia. The Jamindar of Babanpur Mr.S.N. Roy Chowdhury was the founder of the school. In1912, it was recognized as Higher English School under Kolkata University. A prominent Jamindar Mr. Proddut Kumar Tagore donated 1.59 acres land for the school. Later school authority have purchased another 2.10 acres. Now, the total school land is 3.69 acres. At First, science group was opened in 1966 and in 1968 it was named as Gobindaganj Bahumukhi (M.L.) High School by the opening of Agriculture group. The school is used as S.S.C examination centre since 1969.The school is one of the oldest institutions of Bangladesh. It has enlightened many students by the power of knowledge since it`s foundation.

Sports: Football, Cricket, Kabadi, Basket Ball etc. Sports are a major feature of life at our school. Among the outdoor games, football and cricket are the most popular. The school has teams for football, cricket, volleyball, handball and basketball that participate in national and regional games. Our school has records to win Basketball district championship, Handball district championship, Football district championship respectively in 2006, 2008, 2009. It had also got 4th place in Citycell School Football tournament.

Others: It has a large playground which provides a playing environment to the students as well as serves the local people in different occasions. A school market is situated just between the Dhaka-Rangpur high way and school play ground.
